international health care center ghana +233 (0)302-541 220 | info@ihccghana.com about ihcc our team news downloads services facilities payments support us contact us about ihcc our team news downloads services facilities payments support us contact us our vision our vision is a world where everyone has access to affordable and quality health care. our mission ihcc’s mission is to provide accessible and equitable medical care of the highest quality for all people, including people living with chronic illnesses, through supportive and compassionate initiatives that focus on the needs of patients and enhance health and quality of life. about ihcc the international health care center (ihcc) was founded in accra, ghana in 1998. initially as a hospice center dedicated to the lives of terminally ill persons. today, ihcc functions as a community clinic open to the general public for all kinds of medical treatment but with a focus on infectious diseases. it provides people with access to outstanding services where infectious diseases, as well as general and chronic medical conditions, are managed. at ihcc, patients and their families come first and so clients are always treated with warmth and compassion. we aim at being the top choice of the general population as well as partners for the provision of excellent health care services due to our skilled and passionate staff and our conducive and serene environment. due to our dedicated partnership with the west africa aids foundation, waaf, our center also serves marginalized and vulnerable people who many a time have constraints in accommodating the cost of care. in order to sustain our commitment to reach out to the needy and vulnerable, ihcc fundraises and accepts in kind donations to finance this aspect of our work. if you would like to support ihcc, please visit the ‘what you can do” section of our website. services & facilities general medicine as a community clinic, open to the general public, ihcc is prepared to attend to any general medical concerns that visiting clients may have. we act as a first point of call for many medical problems, both for adults as well as for children. infectious diseases ihcc is specialized in infectious diseases. we can provide patients with information and treatment of many infectious diseases including: sexually transmitted infections, tuberculosis, hepatitis b, hiv/aids and many others. preventative medicine at ihcc, we believe that prevention is the cure. we make every effort therefore to ensure that we promote this. as such, we are very passionate about both preventing and detecting illnesses at a very early stage so as to enable quality of life. women’s health we offer many services in women’s health. this includes screening for breast cancer and cervical cancer. adequate information is provided as well as examination and obtaining samples for laboratory testing. pharmacy the onsite pharmacy at ihcc is strictly meant for clients of ihcc and has stocks of medication for the medical conditions of our clients. our pharmacy consists of over-the-counter medication as well as prescription medication. resource center for quality health education, ihcc is the place to be! ihcc is open to ihcc patients and other members of the community both as a clinic and a resource center to educate visitors on various health topics. registered nurse health educators, trained staff and volunteers are available to help visitors in many health-related topics.
